Restaurant labour cost management

Manage restaurant labour cost with rostered hours, actual hours and estimated cost from pay rates — before payroll week.

See labour before payroll

Restaurant labour cost management starts with three numbers managers can trust mid-week: rostered hours, actual hours, and estimated labour cost from configured pay rates.

Square can be connected from Settings. Sales-based labour percentage still uses your forecast until live sales sync is available. Treat sales-linked targets as planning aids — not guaranteed savings.

Practical controls

  • Set a hours factor / target hours against forecasted net sales for the branch
  • Compare rostered vs actual as the week runs — not only after export
  • Cut or add shifts against demand, not habit
  • Lock timesheet weeks so payroll does not chase moving numbers

Rostrix does not guarantee savings. Estimates use the pay rates you configure. Results vary by wage mix and how you roster.

Labour visibility in Rostrix

Rostrix shows estimated labour as you build the roster and compares rostered vs clocked time in Time track. Labour planning settings let each business set its own hours factor (for example 100 hours per $10,000 net sales as a starting point).
